This little chicken was drawn by Nadine Forsyth.  She made me smile so much I had to crochet her.

I know chickens’ combs don’t go that way. It was a balance between making her look like a real chicken, and keeping to the spirit of the drawing.

Didn’t plan to do a double layer on the tail, but I like the way it turned out.

Nadine tells me the chicken is a deep thinker.

Her name is Babette, and she’s off to Canada to stay with Nadine. Babette will be joining the Travelling Monsters crew, so look out for her future adventures on the TM blog!
