I’ve been keeping on my with my resolution to work through my unfinished project mountain, plus finishing some commissions.
The big bird storage basket will be in the shop as soon as I set up for decent pics. For some reason everyone wants chickens right now. The red rebels were a special commission. Doodle of a snake, using a knitting loom for the body and crocheting the head. More experimentation required. The join between the knitted body and crochet head needs work, and the body needs to be stiffer. Chickens atop the pile of squares for a patchwork blanket. All 36 pieces are now blocked!
If you want to make chickens of your own, the pattern is available for free here, and will work with any weight of yarn (although the size of your chicken will vary).

Usually comes with a stick which will make even the most dextrous feel like an angry and confused chimpanzee. Knitting loom, marketed to adults. Great design that actually works and is easy peasy to use. Hook fits into a groove in the pins.
If you need to learn how to use a Knitting Nancy, this is an excellent tutorial. I got my little loom here, and used this tutorial. I have an idea for which I’m going to need lots of snakes…
